Rugby 7s is a version of rugby union played with 7 players on each team, with games lasting 14 minutes.
The European Grand Prix 7s at Sandy Park is the final leg of the European 7s Series, with rounds already being played in Moscow and Lyon.
Teams who failed to qualify for the Rio de Janeiro through the World Series have the chance of qualification through the European Series.
England and Wales will be representing British rugby 7s and will be competing against France, Russia, Spain, Belgium, Georgia, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Romania and Lithuania.
A social tournament (the South West Rugby 7s) will also be played at Duckes Meadow on the same weekend, with their finals taking place at Sandy Park as well.
Sandy Park will open at 6pm on Friday 10th July to kick start the European 7s weekend. The Exeter Suite will be open with Disco Danny providing the soundtrack and bars will be open until midnight.
On both Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July, gates will open at 9.30am with the first game kicking off at 11.30am. The full schedule can be found here. The West Grandstand will be open and seating is unreserved. Bars and food outlets will be open throughout the day serving food and drink from 9.30am.
The ticket office will be open from 9.30am on both Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th July. You will need to print your e-ticket before coming to Sandy Park then exchange your e-tickets for a wristband which will gain you entry to the stadium.
Tickets can be bought in advance at www.sandypark.co.uk/book or will be available to purchase on the day. Day passes are £15 or weekend passes are £25.
Parking will be available at Digby Park and Ride. This will be signposted from the M5 and city. Sandy Park is approximately 15 minutes' walk from the car park and there will be signs directing pedestrians to the stadium. There will be no parking available at Sandy Park.
On Saturday evening, local bands Carnaby Street and Silverlight will be providing live music until midnight alongside Disco Danny with bars staying open until 1am. Live music on Sunday night will be from Eventine, with Sandy Park open until midnight. There will also be a ‘Wild West’ themed fancy dress competition, with a prize of 2 tickets to watch England v France at Twickenham on August 15th.
Guests without tickets to the 7s are welcome to come to Sandy Park after 7pm on all three evenings to enjoy the entertainment on offer.
There will be a fanzone at Sandy Park including a hot tub, photo opportunities and rugby themed activation.
